MOVIEholic

My Top 5 English Movies (first half of 2011):

Kung Fu Panda 2. The king of awesomeness is back! The fluffy and cute Po is into another action packed adventure finding inner peace and his true self. Only now that I realized how come Po’s dad is a goose and he’s a panda. Though this film makes you laugh most of the time, the director and the team didn’t fail to bring moral lesson to moviegoers.
One of my favorite scenes:
Po: my fist hungers for justice
            Po’s tummy: arggggrrr
            Po: THAT WAS MY FIST.

Hangover 2. I know, the first one was crazy. But this one is crazier. If you wanna enjoy your life, leave your worries and problems behind; try grabbing tickets with your pals. Have a 3-day vacation and try doing what they’ve done (Phil, Stu, Alan and Doug). Make fun of your self. But of course, I WAS KIDDING. There’s the danger being out of control and you don’t wanna end up behind bars. The bottomline: DON’T MIX DRUGS WITH ALCOHOL.

Beastly. This movie was patterned to Disney Channel’s Beauty and the Beast with a modern twist. A witch (played by Mary-Kate Olsen) cursed the narcissistic Kyle (Alex Pettyfer) for being so obnoxious towards everyone. To cut the story short, an “I love You” from a girl will bring him salvation. Lesson learned: There’s no “I” in this world. Others do exist, just like you.

I am Number Four. He got superpowers. He’s extraordinary trying to live an ordinary life until the Mogadorians discovered that Number Four (John) still exist and want him dead. His pictures and personal contacts were deleted in the World Wide Web due to the danger of being found and be killed. The rest of the story was about attacking, chasing, fighting and falling in love to Sarah. Sine qua non: it’s all about surviving.  HAHAHAHA.

Priest. The modern definition of priest is here, they got cool moves. He’s up against vampires to rescue his daughter, Lucy, but the church elders won’t allow him to. Instead, he turned his back from the church and left.  Team of priests was sent, led by Maggie Q to hunt him down but she’s on his side. In the end, vampires were killed, Lucy was saved.
Food for thought: Maggie Q is so hot! :D

xoxo, Manel
